David Meikle is an innovator and a problem solver, with a career in advertising and marketing communications account management spanning more than two decades, including for two of the biggest global advertising networks in Grey London and Ogilvy & Mather, where he worked on accounts such as BP, Nestle, GSK, American Express, Ford, Unilever and Kimberly Clark.

In 2003 David moved to Moscow and assumed the role of Managing Director and then Group MD of Ogilvy Russia. In under four years David increased the agencies revenues by more than 500% and developed what had been a single ad agency into a group of five different integrated marketing services companies.

Returning to the UK, David founded his current consultancy business Salt - symbolic of value. Salt helps clients get better value from their marketing budgets through process design, agency sourcing and pitching, roster management, training and more. Brand clients include the Post Office, Bayer, EMI, and BMI Healthcare; agency clients include: AMV/BBDO, Ogilvy and Mather, McCann Erickson and Adam&EveDDB. 

 

David lives in Oxfordshire with his wife, Olga, his eight-year-old son, Daniel, a dog and three chickens, he is also vice chairman of the governing body at his son’s primary school.
